Well, time has come. Like all good things nothing lasts forever. The tour is changing as it is time for all to head home. Jay and Ron are going to Moose Jaw to visit some of  Ron's family. I'm looking for an early start as I hope to make Calgary, and notice a fair bit of wind. Oh well... at least it is not raining. As I travel along the wind is getting stronger and stronger. Fuel mileage is starting to drop as it all seems to be a headwind, sometimes a good gust knocks me a tad sideways. With a 960 lb tour bike... one of the heaviest in the motorcycle tour class, usually it is very planted and wind is not an issue  The wind was getting full attention today, I even dropped the windshield down so I could lay more on the tank so it wouldn't blast me so hard. From about Moose Jaw west it was getting very strong, again I was getting low on fuel around Bassano. I pulled into the Esso just off the number 1 and while I was fuelling noticed a hotel behind me. Still a short way from Calgary, this wind was getting so strong I thought maybe best to come up short of my goal and play safe. While I was checking in the lady told me I was out riding with a twister that just touched down between Calgary and Edmonton. I heard it even destroyed some buildings while one fellow said it was chucking equipment around. Wow... very happy my scooter and I didn't do a Dorothy ( like from Wizard of OZ ) riding up into the sky. Ah... all is good as I found a Subway nice and close. After a big chow down I was pretty tired from pushing the wind all day and decided to just lay in bed to watch TV.
