Day Sixteen Ken Travels From Bassano To Kelowna.

The day before in Bassano I found myself getting off the road because of high wind and not trying for Calgary. Early to bed with a full belly. Yes... I was asleep in no time. About 2 am and bink, I was wide awake. Rolling around for an hour or so it hit me. Hmmm... I'm traveling by myself why don't I get an early start for home. Pack up the bike and zoom I'm on the road in no time. Calgary was a breeze to get through at that time and the sun was just coming up. A sunrise on the prairies is something to see as I've only seen it twice in my life. I was just heading into the Rocky Mountains, the sun was shining behind me like a big flashlight with a light so bright on the mountains. Very hard to describe in words here...  the road had very little traffic, no wind at all other then from traveling on the bike. Everything was so calm and clear with a temperature nothing other than perfect. The bike was purring like a kitten, while feeling strong as an ox. Just one of those moments in life you wish one could just freeze frame then have the ability to return any time you like.
